About
Carles Alcaide i Blaya (2002) graduated in Chemistry from the Universitat de Girona (UdG) in 2024.
His research interests are centered on theoretical and computational chemistry, using quantum chemical methods to explore the relationship between molecular structure and electronic behavior. He has worked on aromaticity and antiaromaticity from both energetic and electronic perspectives, employing conceptual DFT tools to understand trends in reactivity. He is also interested in modelling molecular mechanisms and analyzing electronic effects through computational approaches.
His current research involves the study of thermally activated delayed fluorescence (TADF), focusing on excited-state properties and their potential applications in functional organic materials.
